Why Utah wells rust out

A new well rusts just like the old one if nobody checks why.

When two different metals touch in damp soil, a small current runs between them and eats the steel from the inside out. That's electrolysis, and it's the most common cause of early rust we find. We test for it on every install and correct it before we leave.
